Here are some pics i took;

Are you sure about this? If you have a shitty GPU, it may help, although you would need to modify Minecraft to support said lower resolutions: Otherwise, it would be 16x16 with pixels grouped in 2x2 blocks (or in the case of 4x4, 4x4 blocks). Although I noticed that Minecraft running on something other than its native resolution appears to lag it (I ran a 64x64 pack, and although F3 said my FPS was the same as usual, it FELT a lot choppier.)scope_ion wrote:The only way the FPS is affected by a texture pack is if the pack is above 16x16, which will lower your FPS. Packs with a resolution "lower" than 16x16 do not affect FPS. When created, the blocks still have pixels of 16x.
Anyway, if you want a really good 8x pack, try Isabella. (I think)
Yeah, I saw a lot of argument, but finally, it was cleared up that lower resolution texture packs do not affect FPS.LumpyCustard7 wrote:Are you sure about this? Idk man, i now have a FPS of like 59, before i was lucky to get 30.scope_ion wrote: Yeah, I saw a lot of argument, but finally, it was cleared up that lower resolution texture packs do not affect FPS.
lol, that happened to me once, I got up to 45 FPS, normally around 20. Didn't change my texture pack though. Still, I'm pretty sure that lower resolution doesn't help FPS.Midevele1 wrote:Idk man, i now have a FPS of like 59, before i was lucky to get 30.scope_ion wrote: Yeah, I saw a lot of argument, but finally, it was cleared up that lower resolution texture packs do not affect FPS.
Edit: Ace can vouch for my shitty FPS, hes seen my laptop play minecraft
it takes less to renderscope_ion wrote: lol, that happened to me once, I got up to 45 FPS, normally around 20. Didn't change my texture pack though. Still, I'm pretty sure that lower resolution doesn't help FPS.
Only if you patched minecraft so it utilizes a 4x4 resolution, rather than blocky 16x16.Midevele1 wrote:it takes less to renderscope_ion wrote: lol, that happened to me once, I got up to 45 FPS, normally around 20. which i did. Theres a mod for that.LumpyCustard7 wrote:Only if you patched minecraft so it utilizes a 4x4 resolution, rather than blocky 16x16.Midevele1 wrote:it takes less to renderscope_ion wrote: lol, that happened to me once, I got up to 45 FPS, normally around 20. Therefore the texture pack didn't improve your FPS. The mod did.Midevele1 wrote:which i did.
