Npc questions.[SOLVED]

Ok no pressure and no rush on this really just a few questions I had about the citizens...
1. The commands for /npc setitem, and /npc settext come back as not recognized and refer you to /citizens help.
2. I don't have permission to access the /basic help pages in citizens help
3. I tried to make my npc a trader with /toggle trader, but it said I needed 250 Yellow flowers instead of the 250 slime balls I had, has currency changed or is this a mistake?
otherwise the npcs seem to be working great. Thanks for including us non-admins in this it's very exciting.

EDIT: I googled the wiki for the npcs and found it here: http://citizens.wikia.com/wiki/Commands. that solved all my questions about the commands. so really I'm just wondering about the flowers.
