Two to one portals

So I might just be stating the obvious here, but I just figured it out and it seems to have caused a couple problems in the past so I figure I'll post it.
I just built a portal into the nether, and when I went back through the portal in the nether in made a new portal a ways to the side of my original. the new portal went to the same one in the nether as my original but all exits from the nether took me to that new portal. so it essentially made one two way portal and one entry only portal. but I've noticed this happened to new spawn with the portal just outside of it. It's not necessarily a problem, but it was a really weird experience for me.

Yup i know! its weird, but not something i can help.
Bukkit has made the portal code (in 1.6

will add this feature)

Did we try killing the portals on BOTH sides and remakeing the portal at the desired location? I was going to try that on the Metro portal that returns to Mlockh's place but I forgot

I haven't tried that. do you want me to try it and tell you what happens? so you're saying destroy all three portals and then build it back where you originally wanted it?
