we could make a general shop that would sell everything so that prices wont just change with demand or it could just be currency to exchange it for example if u need to buy something with gold and have extra diamonds you could exchange them for the set amount... im not sure of all of the details of this but i think it would be cool to have.

How would this work for say, shop owners?

Seems more for a general thing, I'd personally like some nice visual way (kinda like the video, but you trade for materials that already exist in the world from other players.

tbh, i don't see this happening, where does it get the wood from that you buy? out of thin air?
That way you can just turn your huge piles of cobble into all other mats you need.

I would have liked it more if it got the wood from someone's inventory or if the shop owner put his items up for sale and it would swap it for the items that the seller wants.

Max i think you can set the values of the items so you could make cobble worth nearly nothing, people already have a suplus of it they wouldnt need to buy it. And also yes the items are just coming out of thin air they are just spawned by the mod. I think it would be a good idea we could have a central area with all possible trades. Not everybody on the server will have the mats you might need so this could be a good way to easily buy them. And Eddy there isnt a shop owner system the area is set up like in the video and the items are just spawned. It would take out the purpose of markets but if you have seen ctown mall nobody really uses any type of shop system for player trade they just ask people on server if they have the item they need.

I don't like this!
I think its way cooler to have an economy mod that gives you money if u sell it.
Money just being a value tied to your username.
Then you can pay other people with that money for items.

Economy mod? NEVAR! Those things ruin the game, you can't trade or anything. that would ruin any survivaliness of the server.
You just lost the game.

A trade system between players is good, between creating materials and human it dosn't work. Let me explain:

I buy wood from TradeCraft, I then make sticks and then an axe from it.
Then I sell axe to TradeCraft, makes profit.

Anyway that its done, it dosn't work.
