Oh my god, i just finished my library which is going to be open to the public soon, and a crap ton of my nether brick is missing, and a ton of my mossy cobble is missing D: harark was with me when we found it, in the photo it shows where we were from spawn, its hidden under scootaloo's treefarm

I was with him when the griefing was found. Here's the pics we took:

Mossy cobble was taken here. This entire wall was nether brick. Mossy was also taken here.

It was 007. I've rolled back the damage, let me know if I missed anything but it seems to be fixed.

I undid changes 007 made with a radious of 50 (from close to the portal) within a day, it appears to have taken care of everything.
I checked several of the missing netherbrick blocks, seems all were removed by 007 after being placed by mide or afew other players. There were some dirt blocks removed by ace from the corner (part of the digout for the room it appears) and 007 removed an iron ore that he uncovered whyle harvesting your netherbrick.

I did not put the ban on, I'll let max handle his bro.

I would ask who is 007, but it's probably classified.

I feel your loss Mid. Ironic that someone would grief a soon-to-be PUBLIC library >.> Crime not only against you, but the entire server.

Thijmen007 is my little brother, and he can be a little annoying sometimes... i will talk to him about this tomorrow (i always eat at my mums on tuesdays)

Thijmen is sorry, he thought that it was some kind of secret room that didnt belong to anyone.
After he looted things he saw a sign saying that is was from midevele1.
He wanted to put the stuff back later but it was already undone.
I told him to destroy any loot he got from it.

Yeah, I didnt think he griefed on purpose. I assume he got there via his nether portal that linked to mid's portal. I've placed his nether side portal and it is in close proximity to his and... I forget whos portal that is close to fallen's. Should be fine now untill it gets deactivated by a ghast fireball.

Suggest you lable your nether portals with signs or something and be sure to guard them from ghasts with cobble or some other durable material (netherbricks work too if you want it to blend well, netherrack is destroyed and/or lit by fireballs).

So if a ghast hits your portal with a fireball it gets deactivated?
How do you get back when you dont have flint and steel with you? get the ghast to hit it again? or get a friend to go trough the same portal?

That happened to me once in single player, I had to kill myself to get back.

You can use flammable materials to make a fuse using nearby fire (trick from Etho).

IF there's no fire nearby, then you're screwed.

Unless you happen to have a bucket. you can place wood in the portal and dump lava next to it till it lights and then pick the lava back up. It doesn't work every time, but when it does the wood lights the portal right as it burns away.

if it were the only portal to get out, you would want to get a ghast fireball to ignite it again, or die to get back. As it is on maxloader, you can just use one of the MANY portals to get back and go fetch a lighter. But your portal will take you to some other portal untill you relight your netherside portal.
