The End

Sindows and I had a plan to colonize the End by attempting to kill the dragon and then light up the entire place. This would be beneficial because End Stone is very nice aesthetically in my opinion, allowing everyone to access End Stone, and once the dragon(s) (there are 5) are killed, it will be easy to port back to the overworld.

When all of the dragons die, a portal surrounded by bedrock will appear with a dragon egg on top (currently, the egg is useless).

EDIT: Actually, it might spawn 1 portal per dragon, I really don't know.

Doesn't the portal close once you come back through?

That's why we'll bring lots of pickaxes and mine away their entire planet before we leave.

It actually doesn't close as far as I'm aware. When you go back after winning charlie sheen style, the portal should still be there, and there should be no enderdragons.

Although, if the drags respawn, a experience farm could be considered...

Also, I think you should be able to /home or /spawn out like you can in the nether (although I haven't been to the nether for some time)

/spawn and /home out of The Nether put you seriously off course. Doing it in the End might just end you.

Manually imposed dropping!

Might be good in the case that I want a base really, REALLY far away one day.
