Tired of your new nether portal leading to someone else's base, or returning you miles away from home? Nethertech has your solution. Simply apply here with the F3 XYZ coordinates of your overworld portal to the nether and we will place a portal in the nether that connects to it and only it garonteed!
Nethertech solutions can even offer advanced nether transit systems. With the nether railway, transit to distant locals is quick and easy! The Netherrail can be linked near your properly grafted nethertech portal free of charge by request!
Useing our unpatented x/8 z/8 y mathmatical formula, and intimate knowlidge of nether portal machanics (oooooh, nether portal mechanics, I want you inside me!) we can place netherportals in their optimal position to avoid any non-manogimous portal linking situations, leading to a cleaner, safer netherportal experience.
So sign up today! Get your very own optimal placement netherportal!

It's funny cause normally you're inside the netherportal mechanics. kinky
EDIT: Also I'd like to apply to have a portal linked please. my overworld coordinates are
x 76.6
y 66.6
z -603
The portal is built just under the ground at the bottom of the stairs. I haven't lit it yet, just cause I'm not sure what the linking procedure entails.

Question about Nether Portals:
Would it be possible to have a set of nether portals (say 10) that are in completely different overworld postions (more then 1000 blocks away) but have all of the nether-side portals end up close enough to put in a building together? Such as to create a network.
And also would this be allowed in the rules? Since it is a survival server and that would make traveling across the world quite easy.

If it can be done legitimately, it can be done. Just don't make a nether portal at a very far distance from anything, it'll cause the server to crash.

Sortof... but it would be tricky, and you would half to deliberately set this up at the positions of the overworld portals would need to be pricise. The nether portal will search 1024 and teleport to the closest active portal in that area. If you were to create a room lined with portals in the nether, you could use them to a link to different distant places in the overworld. The requirements are that each overworld portal must be within 1024 blocks of it's nether portal, and must be closer to it's nether portal then any other nether portal.
Perhapse it would be better to think of it from the other direction. If you take the overworld portal coordinates, and divide the x and z coordinates by 8 (y stays the same) you will get your netherworld translation. Your overworld portal, when entered (EVERY TIME, there is no real link ever), will translate you to that point. It will then search 128 blocks for active portals in the nether and should it find one or more, it will take you to the CLOSEST active portal. If not, it goes into several more consiterations on what to do that I wont get into now. So if you translate your overworld portal position, and bring it TWORDS the imaginary collective room, you want it to be no more then 128 from it's destination portal, and closer to it's destination portal then any other portal.
The problem with doing something like that on maxloader is that it will be skrewed up by someone by accident. If your overworld portal translation is 128 blocks from it's netherworld portal, then ANY portal that shows up in the nether that is less then 128 blocks from your Overworld portal translation will become the destination for your overworld portal. Same for any overworld portal created closer to your netherportal's translated position. Also, you would need to cordinate those portals positions quite carefully. Expecialy if you want more then 4 of them in a room. Their overworld portals would be points on a giant circle.
