I am locking this thread, its going way off topic.

Mutualy assured destrction is a situational analysis whereapon peace is upheld by the plausable reality that any breach of peace by either party would result in an unavoidable counter attack, and that the net destructive capability of each party (after subtracting the defencive capability of the opposition) exceeds the population. Basicly, either party is capable of completely destroying the other without any reliable ability to prevent this by the other or prevent the retaliation of equil measure. Given this situation, neither party can risk attack on the other unless they are willing to accept their own destruction as well.

This situation is generaly consitered to have first truely appeared with the "Cold war" between Russia and USA following the developement of Nuke weaponry or (WMDs) and the subsiquent buildup of these weapons.
