How to install a texture pack tutorial
Since I have just installed a texture pack for myself, I decided to make a little tutorial on how to install one.
Download links are on the bottom of this post.
What is a texture pack?
A texture pack is a pack of textures (duh) that changes the textures of many objects in the game. For example
instead of a brown cow, the cow becomes white and black, or cobblestone gets a different look.
Picking your texture pack
Now you can ofcourse make your own texture pack, but that is not what we're here for.
There are many different texture packs, and all of them are different. I have chosen for "Brown & Bloom"
Installing the texture pack
First of all, navigate to your .minecraft folder. If you dont know where it is, simply
open "Run" and type in "%appdata%". There you will see your .minecraft folder. In there is a bin folder,
and in the bin folder you see minecraft.jar.
Open this with WinRAR. Right click on it, and select "Open with -> WinRAR Archiver". Now if you did it right,
you will see alot of folders. The only thing left to do now is dragging the texture pack files you've downloaded, into
the minecraft.jar. Replace all if asked, if not, open your Minecraft and see if it has worked.
I hope this was helpfull.
