Is anyone else experiencing latency problems?

how long does it take to get a pong back from when you "/ping?"

I'm getting between 40 to 240 seconds. :)

My ping has been terrible as well. It was okay earlier for a little bit but tanked pretty hard again.

Ted Stevens says corporations are sending too many internets. Looks like you need to get some fatter tubes.

Still at about 8s this morning from the US. Might just be latent DNS issues or something...hopefully it'll settle down today. I've also noticed a lot of issues since the 1.5 update related to this so that might be contributing as well.

Thats possible, but i was also thinking...
This ip adress is brand new and it maybe takes some time to get indexed by all servers in the world.
If i do a speedtest.net i get 10 Mbit up and 90 Mbit Down so i cant think of another explanation.

Just tested through SSH from the box I play on at home and my ping from there is around 120ms. It may still be a propagation issue so I wouldn't reinstall the server yet. I didn't try pinging last night so I have nothing to compare it to.

I also mentioned before I've seen a lot more ping-related issues since the 1.5 update so it's probably not only the server move that affected it.

I'll retest and see if it's gotten any better when I get home in 4ish hours.

Edit: Just read your shout about vanilla install being fine.

Last night when i was planning on reinstalling the server it suddenly was all good.
So i changed nothing!
Let me know if it screws up again.
