Hey guys, its donwhittam from the server. I am hoping for max to give me permission to build a town, so i ask 2 things. 1. Can anyone come up with a name for it? 2. Does anyone want to be the 2nd mayor of it? Thanks -donwhittam

I would love to help you think up of a name for the town, but first. Can you tell me how the design will be, what you will like to represent? (Examples like: Atlantis or Egypt)

I'm not sure but I want houses like in Botra. Like wood lodges. Can you think of a representation? lol

This is a huge. If you want to make it I would highly recommend the following.

1. Go mining for Gold/Diamond/Coal/Iron everything that you can sell.
2. Find a large area that you feel would benefit people to join your town.
3. Give it a theme.
4. Have a huge supply of wood.
5. Sell all your valuables for building materials.
6. Keep building and building till it is perfect.
7. Beware of non light areas during night time creepers will blow the whole town up.
8. Don't rush, big one there.

I think most mayors will agree with that.

Second, you'll need to give me more information like if it's underground, floating, what matarials are going to be the primary ones and such.

Ok, i have found a place, it's flat ground in the middle of (well i wouldn't say mountains) hills.It is snowy on the ground, so i guess thats the theme. So knuckle, you in to be the 2nd mayor? And sooneey, your an administrator... Do i have permission to build a town?

Materials: Wood. A tone of wood. (the houses are going to be made out of it.(planks AND logs.) 2. Cobblestone. (for the wall around the city.(I have the cobblestone.) 3. Dirt. (For when we need it

( i have the dirt.) 4. Glass, fences, wooden stairs, etc. Thanks. -don

If the theme is snow it would be cool to make the houses out of it and have a ton of igloos, or something. Also, why not carve into the surrounding hills to make them the walls?

remember, snow and ice melt around heatsources (torches)

Make your large area safe. Look at Botra on the map and replicate the torch pattern, one every 3 empty spaces! Not only does this stop pesky creepers from ruining your hard work, it generates docile mobs which will bring you food and wool!

The amount of wood you will need will sicken you. If you don't have a double chests worth yet then don't start. Botra has driven me insane with the amount of wood I have had to farm for it!

Do something creative and take your time with the town. Develop a style of architecture or town design that we haven't seen and will really attract people! If its in the mountains maybe heavily terraces hill sides will look nice?

Lastly good luck! It's tough building for more than one!

Sorry, replied very late, there are actually 3 reasons why I don't play on the server and why I can't be a mayor (thanks for the offer, though). - I don't enjoy playing the game very much right now, in other words: the game is boring right now. I lag a lot lately thanks to my bad computer. And I am already a mayor of Zugguburgh.

Oh, man! I wish I COULD play. xD
But I'm quite busy lately and well... my computer DOES suck, tried to log in, but only 2 or 3 chunks loaded and that's it.

Can't you simply delete the '%appdata%\.minecraft' folder?

actually, glowstone and Jack-o-lanters dont melt snow. And I'm not sure if torches melt snow blocks, but they melt ice.

I don't really know if you want me to be your co mayor. I'm supposed to be co mayor of Cintia too but I never pay my taxes and I'm never around to push people into the sparta hole. I guess that's not a bad start for a politician though is it

hey its donwhittam from the server. My town is complete, and it's called donbitchhawk. First of all, i would like to thank doghawk and pixiebitch for being my 2 other mayors. Also thanks to FallenTuesday for helping build. Also, special thanks to sooneey for making the town station, and special thanks to Zuggu for designing the walls. Thanks guys!
