Central Trade Center

Ok, so at the mo I run a trade center out of the spawn point. And as I sat there trading with a guy over a ton of iron I started thinking that a half blown up from creepers chunk of rock wasn't the neatest place to hold a trade. Problem is that with trading and spawning the spawn is the most common warp. Ergo, you all know where I'm going with this.
I was thinking of making the CTC where people could trade happily. All I would require is a trade point named "trade" to keep it simple and I'll fund the rest. Any thoughts on this?
PS: I know it'll remove the need for stalls and such in towns but they arn't the most used of things and with this we'll be able to centralise everything and make it much cooler. I've already had idea for more advance forms of trading just as Pestilance has been comming up with.
