So how does that work... Server assigns skin to playername?

To set a skin for in game, go to minecraft.net and log in and upload your skin

Gaz, I looked on the skindex, but couldnt find what I was looking for. Can you make me a dark knight? And please have a helmet . And, if possible, a darkish red cape . and glowing eyes . He would look kinda like your guy, except have a full out knight helmet ([url] http://www.a2armory.com/images/helmets/ ... helmet.jpg [url/] just a kind of reference0. Maybe black arms and darkish grey shirt=pants? Or chain-maily pants and shirt. And the cross would be a dark red? lol am i asking too much?

I don't know if Gaz does your full avatar, for sooneey he turned his skin into a pretty render of his minecraft figure.

So Ive done what you wanted, personally I think the evil red eyes suck. I've also got you a cape, but you can have it without if you wish (as capes will be in game soon anyhow)

1: I made a skin, uploaded it, have it working ingame... But I lost the .png.
I'd like to edit it... or keep it for later (try afew in the meantime). Any idea how to recover that file? Its got to be SOMEWHERE if it shows ingame.

i second point 1, i tried searching for skin ripper software but no luck it should be still in the minecraft cache of my laptop.

You could try running 3D ripper on the java applet and exporting the texture. Other than that, Redo the skin
