Oblique Angle shot

November map!
I took the offtime to arrange a far better way to view the worldmap, it also allowed you to save it.
This way it should be able to theoretically handle images of unlimited size.

The map gets automatically updated every hour now at the -:45 minute mark. so you might encounter a little lag when its uploading.
Also: the map maybe is unreachable in this period, so dont refresh for 10-15 minutes after the -:45 mark.

No more fancy scrolling stuff thing anymore, the url is just: http://www.maxloader.nl/worldmap/

That's fantastic!

Really like how it displays the world, especially the water. Although the green is still burning my retina somewhat! lol

I have NO IDEA where me and EddyT are building on here, I'll have to leave a clue and wait for the map to update!

LOVE IT!

Awesome! I can see my house from here (that square of torches and stuff east along the coast from the ship). BTW, if thats in the wrong place, let me know. I do plan to run a road past it along the coast and off into the wilderness.

I kinda more liked the fact that I could download the map, and take a closer look..
If that is still possible, I would love to hear how..

This is awesome, the old one was a pain to load sometimes because it was such a huge picture.

Wow! Great Job Max!
This will really help keeping an overview of the map!

Let's just hope it won't cause to many lagging problems, and it keeps working as good as it is now.

Yup, but that is why i extended the update time from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
And only time will tell if it keeps working ok.

You are right! thank you that you noticed!
when you run a .bat script by schedule then the paths screw up to the default system32 folder instead of the working folder.
Ill have this fixed within 15 mins or so.

Jb i thought of that, and it would be awesome but i only have 80 GB storage on that pc and it would require the batch file to rename the file each time around... hang on let met try something after it finished updating i think i got an idea.

eureka! :D it works, it renames all maps after handling to a date-time stamp so it doesnt get overwritten.
that way i can make a nice timelapse later on.

erm... the map still won't work.... it keeps showing the 403 error for an hour now :S
E: Great work max! Works perfectly again!
E2: Actually i'm Afraid i have to take that back. its 15:10 and map still says its uploading. I don't want to stress you or anything, but could you check if that is only because the map is getting bigger or if there is some kind of error?

This might just be me, but also when I zoom in to a certain point,
I get pink squares. That makes me unable to view the map..
