I thought is had already been discovered 2 years ago that it didnt add up.
Still this is a hoax to keep people from mass panicing, so still:

Mayan calander nothin'. There was a FAR more advanced civilization that was able to travel INTO space. And their calander ENDS on December 31ST!
Actualy, this one seems to have afew days of January on it... Enough to fill in to the end of the week.
Surely the calander ending translates to the end of the world, rather then some silly "reset" of the calander as noone would ever stop a calander if not for doomsday.

As to how the world will end, I'll just site whatever topic is hot at the molment reguardless of any lack of knowlidge I may have on it. I think that would be global warming
melting the ice caps that in turn unfreezes the manbearpigs who kill all of humanity with their raindance like celebration that will summon a comet to crash into earth,
disrupting our orbit and sending us crashing into the sun. With such detail, it couldnt be wrong.

Finally someone who knows when the world really ends.

Apparently, on december 21st, every 12 years the sun creates a gravitational pull (which is why they predicted this in 2000) and this year it will be stronger than ever before and will cause the earth to draw closer to the sun (because of gravity) and the sun's solar flares will hit the earth and destroy it...

lol! where is THAT theory from? They should try reading up on subjects before they clame world ending effects from something they know nothing about.

Dispite how difficult it is to actualy create a stable orbit, the numbers game insures that some rocks do achieve this. Simple time has ensured that any celestial body with a decaying orbit has long sense had that orbit decayed. As such, our own solar system had destroyed untold amounts of rocks and left us with our simple 9, and those rocks taken many to reduce their moons to the ones they have.

I doubt they even TRIED to collect any supporting evidence or reasoning behind the thinking that our own sun would magicly create the MASSIVE gravitational spike required to yank us out of orbit for some untold reason. Just the timeing alone makes me call "BS" on that... the same day EVERY 12 years!? Its like they dont realise that a year is an arbitrary term to the sun. The sun doesnt give a rat's patoot how long it takes one of it's rocks to orbit. It hardly registers our presance, we are not forming it's tide over here.

None of that will stop millions from buying into the theory though.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realize that means 1/2 of them are MORE dumb then that.
