Mods+Admins Read Please

Ok, this is getting beyond a joke. I know I've asked before, but I've now been here pretty much 2 years. Moderator. Look, I run my own bukkit server that is anti-grief and have experience with most bukkit plugins like worldedit and stuff. I am the server owner, and ask anyone who plays on my server, they always say I'm good at it. I was told I was next in line to be mod 10 months ago, and have now been here longer than; FallenTuesday, wlollpop, LumpyCustard7, dtherrien, pixiebitch, Ace2910 and doghawk. (I've been here longer than more people here, but they're all mods.) I know you're probably not promoting me because I ask so frequently, but I'm going to be honest with you... I'm ready to leave. (I'm not saying anything like "PROMOTE MEH NOW OR I'M GOING" but it's just so annoying. I don't hold anything against those people I just listed, because I'm friends with most of them, but I've been respected rank for over a year now. I remember when pixie and doghawk were helpful rank, and do you know what rank I was then? Green! Which means pixie and doghawk have gone up 3 ranks in the space I've gone up 0! I have no doubt that this post will just decrease my chances, but this has been bugging me for quite some time. I've even donated to the server I like it that much! Anyways, think about it.

If you read my post carefully, you'll find that I'm not asking to be a moderator. I'm telling everyone that I host my own server (giving me plenty of experience) therefore not asking, just telling.

To be honest Don let me level with I run a server (not 24/7) from time to time I will put it up for a adventure map or just to derp around or whatever. I have also played around and understand all the plugins you've listed to a degree and you don't see me asking for mod or admin because I run a server that is "Anti-Grief" this is not a valid reason to become admin/mod. Second off I remember when I was first white-listed to the server and I started to play with Scope he was Mod and I was just a newbie rank for I think around 2-3 months and I was ok with that and I still am I'm only trusted and I've been playing on the server since Jan 22, 2012 this is not so long of a time but close friends of mine like Bluepuppy104 join not to long after and is not respected and has gone ahead of me in rank and again I'm fine with that all Mod/admin just helps out Max run and maintain the sever to be honest you don't wan't to be a Admin/Mod it can sometimes take away from the fun. And if your at the point of saying you know what I getting bored of playing on this server then don't play do something else or take a break or just leave! That is my opinion on this matter.

Look,

There is no list or something that states an order in which I promote people.
I frankly just don't know in what order everyone joined, I just promote people when I play with them alot or when I feel like they have done a pretty good job or if I know them well or trust them.
I don't play as much as I used too and that might have something to do with the slow promotions.

Mostly its other admins that give promotions now (never to mod or admin without my consent ofcourse)

If you want to leave because of this or other reasons that's fine, no hard feelings.
I will see you whenever you feel like playing, you are always welcome.

People should not play games they don't like or even play on servers that they don't like.
You have to do the things in life that you like the most.

Thanks max, I appreciate everything you have said. As for what you said about other admins promoting people, I doubt that will happen to me, because as I've already seen, most of them think I'm a complete dick.

I will leave for now, still visit the forums from time to time, but I'll be back. When I feel I can have fun playing again. I'm not leaving for good, and like you said, if you can't have fun playing a game, then don't play it. I feel most people here dislike me, but that's their problem, not mine.

And for now max, thank you for running this excellent server. I have met some great friends, and really hope to return when I feel the fun in minecraft again.

I never said anything about your playtime, I mean that I have been on this server since the start, more or less, and I am a moderator, as everyone else who started is an admin, yet I have never said anything about promotion.

But like I already said: I have no chance of promotion as most of the mods and admins think I'm a complete dick, and if I'm honest I can't really see max promoting me.

But the thing is, like I said in my original post, I probably have the most experience with bukkit plugins than most mods here. I host a 24/7 bukkit server with all the plugins from here on it.

Anyway, sorry for bitching on at you scope, I realise you have done nothing wrong, I'm just a bit pissed off at the moment lol

hey it's pestilencemage from the server.

Just chimeing in on what appears to be a finished conversation. Seems odd to care about administration of a server when you have a server of your own to administrate. I'm just guessing on this, but I'd assume Max wouldnt care about admin privs on that other PvP server and probably is greatfull to not be hassled with those chores when he logs in there... If you are only playing out of some sense of duty, perhapse a break is not a bad idea. Play afew other games and take a hiatus, it can really restore your enjoyment of the game.

Not to say GTFO or anything, we enjoy haveing you here. Just want to ensure you enjoy BEING here as well.

I know completely what you're saying, but I want to be an admin/mod to prove to everyone that I CAN do it, and also it would give me a better sense if responsibility on the server. I know you can trust me, as I've donated to the server (why would someone with bad intentions pay money to it?) and also, hand on heart, never greifed a single block in my life. I really hope that when I return, I can get a shot. I know I'm ready.

Edit: heh, wonder what customs would make of THAT package reguardless of what fluid it was. They would probably find my flu in it and call it an international biological terrorist attack attempt.
