Spawn Town Timelapse Event

So I had this idea, where everyone who is interested will go on at once, and build the spawn town. Someone will record it (Fraps screenshot tool works best, as you can make it so it can take a picture every few seconds automatically), and then edit the video and post it on YouTube to advertise Maxloader's SMP.

So if we can all agree on a time, we can get this going!
EDIT: Also we need someone to volunteer for recording the whole thing. Probably not wlollpop, if he can't really do the timelapse thing(Fraps is only for Windows I think).

(Also: Midevele1 recommended this all be done with everyone in creative mode. I don't support that (People keeping the items and all), but he just wanted me to mention that.)

It would be cool, especially if we did the whole integration of biomes thing. Our spawn is situated next to a forest and desert, so there could be some great architectural options.

Personally, I support NOT using creative, but we might not have enough resources to pull it off.

I could record it, using quick time player on mac. Alternitavely, I could help build it, Im great at building anything. (no modesty intended ;D )

It would be better if I built it though, as I can record, but not put screenshots into a video. I dont know how to do that

Actually, just found out that with quick time player, I can record and speed footage up. So instead of loads of screenshots, I could just record it in one big chunk, (or different parts as it may take hours to build the town) and speed it up. I would be happy to do this. -donwhittam

it is a timelapse... you dont need video recording software, you need the screenshot button. you create the video by useing the screenshots as the video frames. THAT is how timelapse is done, unless you really want to use days worth of footage to make afew min of footage.
